How To Configure 3rd Party FileTransfer Protocol-FTP (FileZilla)


FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is very useful for a website owner. You may upload your website files to your hosting server by using server based up-loader. But they allow you only one file at a time. This waste your time. There are easy away by using 3rd party FTP software like as FileZillaDownload FileZilla then install your computer.

There are two way to connect your Host Server by using FileZilla.

First Way:

1.    Run your FileZilla.

2.    At the Host Box- type your web address like as www.yourdomainname . (Ex- www.my-complain.com )
3.    At Username Box- type your host server username. And Password box type your host server password.
4.    Then click Quickconnect button.

5.    When you connect successfully you can see Right side your host location under Remote Site.  Left side your computer under Local site.
6.    Upload you all web site files into “public_html” folder or “www” folder.


Second Way: (Configure FTP for FileZilla)

1.    Sign in your Host Server.
2.    Go to the FTP Account.

3.    Create an FTP Account.
4.    Click Configure FTP Client.

5.    Then Download FileZilla FTP Configuration File (.xml file).

6.    Now Open FileZilla.
7.    Click File menu then click Import...

8.    Browse your FTP Configuration File (.xml file) where you download. Then click OK. It may ask for password. (use your FTP account password)
9.    After complete this Click File menu again and then click Site Manager..

10.Click your FTP site then click Connect. (Ex- ftp.my-complain.com)

11.When you connect successfully you can see Right side your host location under Remote Site.  Left side your computer under Local site.
12.Upload you all web site files into “public_html” folder or “www” folder.
